Summary:
Holland Park, like its neighbour Kensington, is one of London's most prestigious areas and is a very desirable place to live. The Park itself covers acres of beautiful green space, with woodlands, gardens, adventure playgrounds and sports facilities. There is an open-air theatre and the Park plays host to art exhibitions as well as private functions. The surrounding streets have a village like atmosphere and most of the people who live here are seriously rich. The truly grand Victorian houses which have either escaped conversion or have been reclaimed, are sought after by ambassadors, diplomats, millionaires and the famous.
Properties:
Holland Park offers a wide range of desirable housing, from its gracious Victorian mansions, elegant Georgian and Victorian terraced houses, grand mansion block conversions and purpose built flats, to modern town houses and pretty mews cottages. Many modern developments of town-houses and flats are set in walled, landscaped grounds and offer a good choice of rental properties. The choicest streets of Holland Park are beyond the reach of anyone less than a millionaire, however the borders of the area offer more affordable properties, although here major traffic flows are a problem. Streets lined with 3 storey-plus basement terraces of varying quality, offer 1 bed flats and upwards, and there are clutches of modern homes to be found beside the railway.
Buyers:
Holland Park is a rich source of family homes for wealthy Londoners, foreign executives and diplomats and their families. Top flight renting.
